IF: Stitch

This is why comedians are not allowed in the ICU; brand new stitches cannot stand up to a belly laugh.
I'm sorry if you are easily nauseated.

seriously, i had a wound dehisce because i laughed too much.

i'd had pelvic surgery, and the day i got outta the hospital, my husband and i visited my dad. my brothers were there, and we were all sharing funny anecdotes. i laughed for hours..and i laughed hard.

alluva sudden i was in severe pain, and had to go to the er. they had to open me back up, and re-suture two layers.

naturally, my father and brothers bring this new bit up everytime we get together..."you haven't had any surgery lately, have you? i mean it's safe, yeah? yer not gonna bleed on the carpet, right?"

That is hilarious...my dad had a recent surgery and he had to wear diapers afterwords for a while...when the kids and I were watching TV we saw a show talking about astronauts and how they wore diapers...I had my kids ask their 'papaw' if he was training to be an astronaut...that was a special moment...

Oh my! This is great!
You know, it would have been even better if in the second panel the guy's robe was flatter. Because I think he just lost about 35 pounds worth of intestines.

After consideration of Andre's comment I have edited the drawing for more realism. I appreciate everyone's comments.
