you know, this was the first thing I thought of when I heard this weeks topic! Could be because we saw Juno last weekend, or because it seems like so many people I know are getting pregnant! Great illustration
Thoughtful concept, bringing up lots of ideas. Maybe this week's topic lends itself to more philosophical interpretations than some. Your illo is great, as always!
Thank you everyone; I appreciate the comments. I am flattered that Digital Scott likes my hands; he is the master. Yes, I saw Juno. It was awesome. Although it was not my only inspiration for this piece; my number 2 is coming in June.
Josh - thanks for stopping in... I do all my printing myself (up to 13 x 19 inch size). And sometimes pull my hair out to get the colors and levels just right. I do a lot of adjusting in Photoshop, and in my ink RIP. I get my archival papers from a guy in Cherry Hill: Jim Doyle

I like their Museo Max for non-curling. The Hahnemuhle seems to curl up a bit.
And I use Epson's pigment based archival inks, which I think are rated to 80 years.
oh - and this is the printer: Epson Stylus Photo 2200 Good luck! - Richard
I know I'm a couple weeks late, but this is a really eye-catching piece. I love the light-hearted take and the serious subject matter - it opens up for discussion wonderfully. And congrats on number two!
