Monday Artday: July 14-21

"Steam Optimus" or "What the heck happened to my wagon."

I try not to post Monday Artday submissions here but this piece was selected as the winner for this week's theme "Steam Punk." I am humbled and honored to have been selected from among some really exceptional artists.

Hey, Josh:
My boys were extremely jazzed about Steampunk Optimus. We dressed up our Autobot leader and let him loose on horseback in the yard. Thanks for the fun! Am trying to figure out how to send you the photograph we took; I had it posted on Monday Artday earlier today, but took it down when I read the fine print about photography. I don't want to abuse the privilege of being part of such a terrific creative community. If you're interested to see the picture, maybe you could send me your e-mail. Hope to hear from you. Your friend, Mary

Okay, that is hilarious and so incredibly great. It is such work as this that helps to spur others on with a desire to be creative...which also makes me sad I missed such a great topic...although I'm glad too because it would've stunk trying to compete with that!!! Great detailing and substrate choice...
