Beatrix Potter

Here is an illustration I did for "Monday Artday." The prompt was to make an illustration inspired by Beatrix Potter. This is illustration is from "The Tale of Benjamin Bunny," which is kind of like the sequel to "The Tale of Peter Rabbit." In this scene Mr. Benjamin Bunny knocks a cat of a basket that Peter and Little Benjamin are trapped underneath.

I recently decided that if I read a Beatrix Potter book to my son, I must do so in the Queens English. If you are wondering what this means, it is a really bad English accent.

smooth flowing drawing... and interesting angle! is he, like, a magician bunny or something... his pose and wand suggest that...
n great curves on the cat.

That cat is very sinewy and awesome in pose!!! Great expression! The detailing of the paw is excellent..

The clean sky strikes a great balance of this drawing from its colours and details.
I particularly love the contrast of green and yellow here, making the drawing even more alive.
I also like the basket with shadow in it.
So much I get from this drawing.

I love Beatrix Potter! What great perspective and rich colors!

I love that you read to your son in Queen's English. I have to add accents when reading to my kids. It was quite a chore when we decided to read the Harry Potter series!

I like this and Poof the most. Nice lines on the cat for sure - I think felines have a home in your pen.
